New Moon in Sagittarius: Bring Me to Life

Image
From the dark cave of Scorpio arises Sagittarius. It always makes me think of times in which we endure hit after extraordinary hit until we reach the point of delirium and devolve into laughter even though it is probably not the socially appropriate response to what is happening. That's very similar to the way I see Sagittarius laden folks in general. They are known for their smart assery, their comedy, their wisdom, their big infectious laugh. Among other things. I appreciate that about them. But, I also know it is not the light giggly type of champagne bubbles that come from their polar opposite of Gemini. Sagittarius has usually seen some shit, dude. Heavy. Dark. Most seem to have reached that point of crazed delirium to a degree. I have learned a great deal on a personal level from Sagittarius. Contrary to their boisterous reputation, it was a Sagittarius who taught me that sometimes silence is the best response. To let someone's words hit absolute dead air. The same Sag...

New Moon in Scorpio: May it be and so it is

What we say. What we think. What we believe. These are very powerful things. Love is powerful. Anger is powerful. But those three aforementioned things are the paths we take to interpreting something as love or anger. If allowed, all three can also become unconscious. Meaningless. Thoughtless thoughts. Wordless words. Belief on autopilot with no desire to continue to grow and learn. Stagnant. Yet, in their meaninglessness...they still hold power. Particularly at this Moon. You may, or may not know, but the signs of both Scorpio and Cancer are some really fertile. Right now, Jupiter in Scorpio catches the North Node in Cancer by trine while each receive a jolting “spark” of life and initiative from Uranus in Aries. Meanwhile, Mercury is in his retrograde shadow. What is spoken or cast as word/thought/belief right now will be revisited in our upcoming weeks as he stations retrograde. Still yet, the words and intentions you sow now...whether on purpose or thoughtlessly will take root. ...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 30 to November 4, 2018

Monday, October 29, 2018 This morning the Moon resides in Cancer as Mercury finds Jupiter by conjunction at about 7 AM. That aspect will likely have voices rising this morning. Mercury is officially in his retrograde shadow at this point. So, discussions and statements made now will likely be revisited or reviewed once he stations retrograde. Given that, ensure what you are saying is what you want to say and factual/truthful (unless you want that uncovered when he retrogrades). The feel of the day is quite emotional. Par for the course with Moon in a water sign, but especially in Cancer as the sign does feel just about everything at its core. Add to that the fact that the Moon will also come into contact with Chiron, Mercury and Jupiter by trine (tomorrow evening at about 7 PM) and you have a lot of emotionally flavored voices rising to the surface or at the very least, undeniable truths rising within each of us. Problem with all that being, we are sensitive under this Moon. But, Ven...

Morning Star: Full Moon in Taurus and the Astrology for the week of October 22

Monday, October 22, 2018 The biggest news about this week is the Full Moon in Taurus around midday on the 24 th . You have likely already blipped across a few write ups on this Moon that stress it's importance along with the astrology of the week to come. I cannot disagree with any of this. It seems to be set up to be a fairly important week ahead. Both the Full Moon and the Sun's entrance into Scorpio are major shifts. Plus, we are looking at a week in which the Sun will oppose Uranus and also meet Venus Rx by conjunction. Underneath what could be viewed as unsettling due the aspects to Uranus (with one also coming in from Venus, herself, next week) we also have some very focused and grounding energy happening in the background on a more subtle level. Mercury in Scorpio meets Pluto in Capricorn by sextile tonight. Venus finds Saturn in Capricorn by sextile just before the perfection of our Full Moon on Wednesday. The issue with all that being, at the first of the week, our A...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of October 14 to October 21, 2018

Sunday, October 14, 2018 Today kind of drifts by under a Void Moon in Sagittarius. It looks relatively low key and routine matters likely go off without many hang ups. Which can be rather nice. The Moon enters Capricorn and becomes active again at 3:17 PM EDT. Though, that passage doesn't contain much excitement either. What I actually see is a solid case of the Monday dreads. But, before we meet with that heavy potential, the Moon lights up a nice trine with Uranus in Taurus. We can gently “let our hair down” and maybe even experiment with new foods (as an example). There is a great chance of finding a new favorite. Course, there is always a chance to find a “never again” too. But, new and is a good way to go. These are Earth signs so even though it is Uranus in play, things likely come about slowly, methodically and has plenty of good old dusty common sense. This can also be used to consider new traditions you may want to create within your home or with your family. The Moon th...
