The Full Moon in Virgo: March 1, 2018

It served my heart well to see all the Pisces energy in this chart contained in the 6 th house. Of course, this is a chart for the Full Moon (see chart below) as it occurs in Washington, DC. The house positions shift due your location. But, still, I'm glad to see it organized in such a way at the capitol of my country. In my opinion, Virgo energy is exactly what Pisces needs and vice versa. The problem in this chart is that Virgo is wildly outnumbered and her ruler, Mercury, is steeped in the Piscean mix. She will have a lot of work to do in regard to sorting things out. At first glance it looks as if she has just found all the socks that ever disappeared from the washer dumped right in her lap. They've all magically reappeared and now she pulls out the mateless sock box and tries to match this hoard of foot coverings soon becoming completely covered up with them on her lap, strung across the bed and still some lingering in the box as she tries to make sense of it all. Yet, t...

The New Moon in Aquarius and the Astrology 2018

image credit: alixbrandwyn I have come to the conclusion that I am part crow. Or, that the bird and I at least share a few habits. I like shiny things. Costume jewelry. Metal. Baubles. Glass. They don't even have to be intact. Broken is fine. It's often the sparkle of it that catches my eye more than what it is. I hoard this stuff. I have little stashes of broken glass, jewelry, rocks...sparkly stuff. Because it would be perfect! “For what?” My husband typically asks. “I don't know yet.” It's very hard for me to merely discard something of beauty even if it might be broken. I've been saying “it will be perfect” for years. Not being able to resist picking this stuff up has been a habit of mine since I was a kid. Ironically, imagine how I responded when I discovered the man I didn't know I was going to marry just yet lived in a house that was covered by some kind of masonry that incorporated two stories worth of broken colored glass. “Oh my Caw! Caw! Caw!” He and...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of February 5 to February 11, 2018

Monday, February 5, 2018 This morning we wake up just in time for a sweet trine from our Libra Moon to her ruler, Venus in Aquarius at 10:33 AM. This is very settled, airy and amicable. However, don't veer toward over-accommodation of the “other” as the Moon in Libra stands off with Uranus in Aries at 1:46 PM which could prompt us to blow some of the nicey nice apart. What that opposition calls us to do is...and has been calling us to do every time the Moon has passed by from Libra...balance out the dynamics between self and other. Particularly anything within the concept of “other” or “relating” that may prevent us from being authentic or that may sink us too deeply into the expectation of “other.” So, even though the Moon is accommodating and Venus wants everyone to get along, don't say “yes” unless you really mean it or you are going to be brewing resentment in your chest later. Following the Moon's opposition with Uranus, she is Void until entering the sign of Scorpio a...
