Full Moon in Aries: Nurturing the wild

Image
Aries is wild. Feral. A full moon in the sign, though absolutely glorious to look at, is particularly so. Visceral desire brimming at the surface. An absolute bursting forth of pure initiating from the gut and on instinct energy. A blaze of glory that only comes in Libra season. So, you know it's also going to be graceful and pretty. An indication that Autumn has arrived in the Northern Hemisphere as we kiss our hot “in the Sun” months goodbye while giving equal time to night and day for a bit. I'm not sorry. This is my favorite time of year. Our Full Moon tomorrow, though, does come in under some distress. Not that we are not accustomed to that. But, this is a bit different though connected to what we have dealt with over the summer. Venus now progresses further into her retrograde shadow. This is particularly relevant now that the Sun is in Libra as Venus holds rulership over that sign. Venus' square with Mars and the nodal axis and her opposition with Uranus are all now...

Partial Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Leo: The Revelation

Image
Don't get too hung up on how I titled this Moon. I mean no Biblical implication. What I see coming as a Revelation is more about each of us on an individual level than anything else. Let's have a look and see if I can explain what I mean. First, leading into this final eclipse of the season, we had both the Sun and Mercury square off with Jupiter. Each aspect bringing forth more and more information into the collective, yes. But, even on a deeper level than that, if you were using the power of the retrogrades for introspective purposes, you likely gained a little more insight into yourself. That's largely what retrogrades say to me for the most part. It's a time of self-reflection and introspection more than an outward venture. That does not mean that progress cannot be made. I've witnessed that to be untrue too many times first hand. However, it is a time in which we can look at our own past and experiences and learn from them while also gleaning maturity and wisd...

Full Moon in Sagittarius: Photographs, Gateways and the Key

Image
in memorial in honor of congratulations til death do us part reunion The Full Moon in Sagittarius packs themes of reunions, graduations, weddings, celebrations or events that bring folks together. Par for the course given that Jupiter rules the sign. When the Sun is in Jupiter's sign, we are in the fall/winter “holiday season” for many in the Northern hemisphere. This is our Spring version of that. However, the flavor of these celebrations and this Moon are determined by the condition of Jupiter himself. This year, we find him Scorpio which is a deeply macabre party. More like Halloween at the end of May rather than Christmas in July. Plus, Uranus in Taurus gives everything quite the...industrialized feel. It's like, new city grunge. Oil and grease. Grit. Not a shiny new car smell. More of a well worn engine stench. So we have the dark of Jupiter in Scorpio mixed with the heavy metal of Taurus setting the tone for the celebrations this year. There is also the matter of Jupit...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of May 14 to May 20, 2018

Image
Monday, May 14, 2018 Are you ready for this week? Sure you are. As ready as you'll ever get because here it is. What I see taking an overview of the week here as thematic is folks getting fed up. It's too much. Something has to change. I'm tired of this. I can't take it anymore. If you don't get to a point like that in some area of your life within the confines of this week you are among the lucky few. And, this need not be a bad thing. You know? Sometimes things NEED to change with those changes ultimately help us to sculpt out a better life for ourselves. Yet, regardless of our incentive for change, it can still be quite scary. The unknown variables can be daunting. The release of comfort momentarily could seem unsavory. Complacency and a lack of initiative can staple us into drudgery rather quickly.  But. When the discomfort of how things have become grows more unbearable than the discomfort of change, we will often take it upon ourselves to change things. We wil...

Dealing with Mars and Uranus by transit

Image
*This is a re-post. You may notice aspects/dates mentioned that do not apply. However, the tips for dealing with Mars/Uranus are always the same no matter what the rest of the sky is up to.  What you may notice is a lot of nervous energy. In that, it could be hard to sit still. If you have any desk work that you can get out of the way today so that you can spend tomorrow being active, that will really help. I also advise that you cut your caffeine and stimulant intake drastically by noon today. The reason for that is it may be hard to get to sleep tonight. Any type of nervous energy producing thing will have an increased effect. Of course, you have to bear in mind there how these things normally effect you. If you have an idiosyncratic response, such as stimulating substances make you sleepy, that may occur too. It is also entirely possible, if you are prone to such things, that your energy levels may actually be really LOW during this passage of the Moon. If you regularly sleep d...
