New Moon in Virgo: A Gathering of Witches

Image
This New Moon comes in at precisely 17 degrees. Packing precision being a VERY Virgo thing to do. The Sabian Symbol for that degree reads: A Volcanic Eruption. Which doesn't sound very helpful or Virgo at all. Virgins and Volcanoes historically do not mix well. However, this is an Earth sign and with Uranus still in Taurus (as Venus waxes in for her first of 3 oppositions), the Earth's topography will continue to change. Volcanoes notorious instigators of this. There is a bursting of energies with that. The “blow” seemingly to happen suddenly has been brewing beneath the surface for some time, however. There has been a slow build to the point where we find ourselves now. But, as this Moon phase progresses the evolution of change within our landscape will slowly begin to take place. We have quite a collection of bodies in the sign of Virgo. The Sun and Moon of course both in orb of Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto. But, the Queen of the Witches has also arrived to the sign of the natu...

Full Moon in PIsces 2018: Time out!

Full Moon in Pisces 2018: Time out! Sabian Symbol for the Moon in Pisces: Heavy traffic on a narrow isthmus. This symbol indicates a funneling and a focus. The symbol itself seems to relate to the fact that Venus and Mercury are both in aspect to Pluto. We begin to see more clearly what is truly important to us. As we focus in on that sheering away all else in an effort to get to it, know that there is something to learn from that as well. Why are we drawn to this? Why is it rising in importance? The funneling can come from a gathering of forces to a common cause. Focus comes into play when we choose one direction out of many options. That's what this symbol indicates. Sabian Symbol for the Sun in Virgo: A chocolate child plays with whites. I don't like how this symbol is worded even if it has been reworded since the original. Here's what I see with it. We have children of different races and backgrounds playing together. It is an illustration of the fact that we are not...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of April 30 to May 6, 2018

Overview I told you last week was gonna be big. It did turn out that way with some of that saga set to continue. However, don't expect this week to be as action or as pressure filled. I, for one, am grateful for that. Many are in need of simply recovering from the ramping up and subsequent release of last weeks energy and happenings. This week? Much more subtle...which in my opinion is a good thing. What we are moving into at the end of this week is a sextile between our Sun in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces (5/6). Plus, Mercury will square off with Pluto. In the beginning of the week, Venus in Gemini creates a Yod by way of a sextile to our North Node in Leo as both form an inconjunct to Saturn. This puts Saturn Rx at the Apex of that Yod which flickers between the evening of 5/1 to the evening of 5/2. Like last weeks' Mercury/NN trine, this is a very subtle movement. What it allows us to do is decide what it is we want in our future. The Full Moon lit up a brief Yod with her s...

New Moon in Aries 2018-The Mountain

Image
Each time I look at this chart, I have an inkling toward “Wow! It's suddenly spring!” And, here's the thing. Spring officially started quite a while back, actually, as the Sun crossed the Aries/Solstice point. Yet, at the same time, Mercury went retrograde and decided to give us a few extra dollops of wintry leftovers. Plus, it's pretty typical for Spring to show up a little late when the New Moon in Aries is at the tail end of the sign...like we have here. However, the proximity of the New Moon to Uranus says...sudden bursting forth. So, at this New Moon and following as the Sun finds Uranus by conjunction, this is literally how it may feel. One day a snowy, cold blustery world and an impatience in waiting for the season to really get rolling to...all of a sudden you walk outside and the whole world is blossoming. Beautiful sight. Not so great if you have allergies, I presume. But, yes, I expect it to be like that. In and out of this “Late Spring” I've seen the little...

Full Moon in Libra 2018: Don't speak...can't we all just get along?

Image
Sun at 11 Aries: The ruler of a country is being officially introduced. Fine stewardship of collective racial ideals. Good and necessary but unimaginative conformity to standards. Idealization Moon at 11 Libra: Kindly old professor is teaching a class of youngsters. Cooperation of genuinely superior agencies with beings less evolved. Glad willingness to assist and protect. Kindliness. Venus, Moon ruler, at 1 Taurus: A clear mountain stream flows through a rocky defile. Purity, excellence and immediate availability of the strength and power of being. Refreshment. Self-sustainment Our Full Moon comes in under pressure. As she culminates, she is in waxing opposition to Mercury and just leaving tandem squares with Mars and Saturn. Though the latter of those are still strongly in orb. This creates a Cardinal t-square that finds outlet in the sign of Cancer. That outlet points straight back to the condition of the Moon since she is rules this sign. So, essentially, even though out numbered, ...
