Morning Star: Astrology for the week of June 18 to June 24, 2018

Monday, June 18, 2018 This morning the Moon entered the sign of Virgo having met the Sun by sextile prior to going Void in Leo overnight. Today, we most certainly need the high powers of Virgo. Not only is that delivered but it comes along with the tremendously simple genius support of Uranus in Taurus and the boost of steadfast accountability gifted from Saturn in Capricorn. At 7:19 AM the Virgo Moon makes a “plunk your feet in reality and pierce through the fog of disillusion” trine with Uranus Taurus. This is followed later in the evening by a trine from the Moon to Saturn in Capricorn that helps us stay on target with our goals while also incorporating the simple wisdom and clarity gleaned from the Uranus trine into our plans. And, I assure you, both Saturn in Capricorn and Moon in Virgo have plans. Neptune stations retrograde at 4:31 PM. It's time to drop the bullshit and peer through the mirage in an effort to see what is real and true. The energy set up we have in this day...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of February 12 to February 18, 2018

Monday, February 12, 2018 This week, we begin the thaw. I mean this in terms of the astrological weather. But, that often coincides with the actual weather. You see, this week, the Sun and Mercury both follow Venus into the sign of Pisces leaving the frozen, metallic but sparkly world of Aquarius. These bodies dissolve into open waters. Venus entered the sign last Saturday. Plus, the Moon swims with the fishes following our New Moon in Aquarius midweek. This is the time in my neck of the woods that, though it still may snow, it feels different than when it snows in the dead of winter. Usually the snow is wet and doesn't hang around long. You may begin to see the emergence of crocus or even a few promising buds in the trees. Birds begin busily choosing trees for their nest building...the Earth slowly begins to re-enliven. It's a magical time, really. In which Mother Nature is the magician sparking something new back to life nearly everyday. image credit: JOHN SLOANE For us, it ...

Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of June 17 to June 18, 2017

Saturday, June 17, 2017 By most accounts, it's been a long week. Now, we slide into Saturday under the remnants of the Pisces Moon creating the Last Quarter square to the Sun in Gemini at 7:33 AM. This occurs at 26 degrees mutable shortly following the Moon's square with Mercury (8:30 PM last night) and Saturn (3:45 AM this morning). So, what we have tied together here is a mutable mixture of Moon in Pisces, Sun and Mercury in Gemini, Saturn in Sagittarius and Chiron in Pisces (at 28 degrees). Last Quarter Moons are time for release. The outlet for this mutable crunch falls in Virgo with the Moon reaching Void status as the aspect perfects. A good way to use the release energy is, of course, through cleaning your physical space, organizing something, spiritual cleanses or just taking time to triage/organize tasks/schedules or revert to self-care. Part of clearing out and release deals with decluttering the mental body, as well. Purging irrelevant information, bringing focus to...
