Morning Star: Full Moon in Taurus and the Astrology for the week of October 22

Monday, October 22, 2018 The biggest news about this week is the Full Moon in Taurus around midday on the 24 th . You have likely already blipped across a few write ups on this Moon that stress it's importance along with the astrology of the week to come. I cannot disagree with any of this. It seems to be set up to be a fairly important week ahead. Both the Full Moon and the Sun's entrance into Scorpio are major shifts. Plus, we are looking at a week in which the Sun will oppose Uranus and also meet Venus Rx by conjunction. Underneath what could be viewed as unsettling due the aspects to Uranus (with one also coming in from Venus, herself, next week) we also have some very focused and grounding energy happening in the background on a more subtle level. Mercury in Scorpio meets Pluto in Capricorn by sextile tonight. Venus finds Saturn in Capricorn by sextile just before the perfection of our Full Moon on Wednesday. The issue with all that being, at the first of the week, our A...

Monday, February 12, 2018 This week, we begin the thaw. I mean this in terms of the astrological weather. But, that often coincides with the actual weather. You see, this week, the Sun and Mercury both follow Venus into the sign of Pisces leaving the frozen, metallic but sparkly world of Aquarius. These bodies dissolve into open waters. Venus entered the sign last Saturday. Plus, the Moon swims with the fishes following our New Moon in Aquarius midweek. You may begin to see the emergence of crocus or even a few promising buds in the trees. Birds begin busily choosing trees for their nest building...the Earth slowly begins to re-enliven. It's a magical time, really. In which Mother Nature is the magician sparking something new back to life nearly everyday. image credit: JOHN SLOANE For us, it ...

Sunday, October 29, 2017 The day is pretty solid, yet breezy. The Aquarius Moon aspects Saturn and Uranus from morning to early afternoon. This provides stability, purpose, a sense of calm and a willingness to look at old problems and assess the potential of new and inventive solution. I love Saturn trine Uranus. An aspect that will perfect once again November 11. Modernizing Saturn and giving purpose and cause to our rebellious and inventive nature is how it operates best. Today, the Moon gives personal nuance to that. Allowing us to directly access this power for ourselves. I have it everyday in my natal chart. I love creating new traditions. I've never walked into a workplace without wondering what I can streamline, modernize or improve. It seems as if it would be an eternal matter of flux when the God of standards, norms, contraction, consistency and tradition meets with the lord of change. However, Uranus knows there is always room for improvement. Saturn stabilizes him with a...
