Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of June 17 to June 18, 2017

Saturday, June 17, 2017 By most accounts, it's been a long week. Now, we slide into Saturday under the remnants of the Pisces Moon creating the Last Quarter square to the Sun in Gemini at 7:33 AM. This occurs at 26 degrees mutable shortly following the Moon's square with Mercury (8:30 PM last night) and Saturn (3:45 AM this morning). So, what we have tied together here is a mutable mixture of Moon in Pisces, Sun and Mercury in Gemini, Saturn in Sagittarius and Chiron in Pisces (at 28 degrees). Last Quarter Moons are time for release. The outlet for this mutable crunch falls in Virgo with the Moon reaching Void status as the aspect perfects. A good way to use the release energy is, of course, through cleaning your physical space, organizing something, spiritual cleanses or just taking time to triage/organize tasks/schedules or revert to self-care. Part of clearing out and release deals with decluttering the mental body, as well. Purging irrelevant information, bringing focus to...

Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of June 10 to June 11, 2017

Saturday, June 10, 2017 The crescendo of the Full Moon has occurred. Jupiter has now turned direct in Libra. And, to some degree, it does feel as if things have settled down a bit just in time for the weekend. This morning, we wake under a waning Capricorn Moon. Most of the day, he moves toward an opposition with Mars in Cancer (3:51 PM). This pits our Mom and Dad energy at odds or puts seductive spice between them (watch the pictures and videos for the underlying theme here). We may feel ambiguous about what we would like to do making it hard in the end to really get into anything. The motivation from Cancer is often felt as a homebody-like feel while Capricorn has work to do in the public. Responsibilities and, perhaps, public appearances at a time when one would rather just stay home and tend to things there. The linking factor between these two energies is, of course, the Moon who rules Cancer and transits Capricorn. We will do what we must. Perhaps meeting over dinner about busin...

Morning Star: Astrology for the weekend of June 3 to June 4, 2017

Saturday, June 3, 2017 Very early this morning, Venus met Uranus by conjunction (3:32 AM) at just past 27 degrees Aries. The Sabian for this conjunction reads as follows: A crowd applauds a man who shattered a dear illusion. Per Rudhyar's delineation: A new light is shed upon cherished ideas. Fearless constructive and public facing of facts of existence. Adjustment. Rudhyar specifically mentions this occurs publicly. Perhaps there is an issue that needs clarification or even funds. An unexpected benefactor steps in to aid and clarify. Mainly, Venus conjunct Uranus calls for financial independence, collaborative efforts aimed at meeting a goal of a social agenda and freedom of self-expression within relationships met with acceptance. Of course, Venus/Uranus can have unusual tastes. She can be the brainy lady who forges her way in the fields of science and technology. She can be an inventor or pioneer across any field. Someone who may break ground for others to follow. She is also v...

Morning Star: Astrology for May 29 through June 2, 2017

Monday, May 29, 2017 Overnight, Mars completed his opposition to Saturn just prior to the Cancer Moon making an anxious square with Uranus. This all went down in a window of about 4 minutes between 2:56 AM EDT and 3:00 AM. We've been dealing with Mars waxing toward this opposition for while. I'm glad to see it come to an end. However, with the grand crescendo of that energy, the collective mood is nervous. It feels a lot like backdraft to me. Hopefully it passes without incident. Yet, I can't dismiss the possibility of some ugly anxious-making stuff. At 5:32 AM, the Moon makes a watery trine with Chiron and reaches Void status until entering Leo at 8:13 AM. The rest of the day, the Moon spends waxing through Leo working toward a sextile with our Gemini Sun which perfects tonight at 11:18 PM. We are prone to assessing personal effects and discussing it with friends. It does seem to get lighter following the release of pressures from Mars/Saturn. Tuesday, May 30, 2017 Our Fir...
