Morning Star: Astrology for the week of August 13 to August 19, 2018

Monday, August 13, 2018 There isn't much happening “out there” today or the whole of this week, really. AAAHH! YES I MEAN IT! We have the Moon still active in Virgo all day. But, she doesn't make any major aspects following her trine with Pluto at 7:12 AM this morning. After midnight, she will trine Mars Rx newly in Capricorn before reaching Void status. So, today is good for launching new initiatives (Moon now waxes) as well as putting together plans and prioritizing. Mars coming in by trine is excellent help with that. Many are still trying to get their feet back underneath them following the culmination of eclipse season. Today is a great day to get well grounded and back into routine. The Moon remains Void (following the trine to Mars 00:38 AM EDT in the morning) for only a few minutes. She enters Libra just a few minutes shy of 1 AM. Tuesday, August 14, 2018 The passage of the Moon through Virgo has been a great chance to “let the dust settle.” Using the last two days...

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the week of April 1 to April 8, 2018

Sunday, April 1, 2018 Today the Moon is still active in Libra and still feeling a bit of pressure to boot. She is square Pluto in the hours before daylight which gives us a sense of daunting, perhaps, as we rise this morning. Feelings are deep but we don't want them to be. Of course, this fits nicely with sunrise services that celebrate rebirth and renewal. Our inner spaces respond well to a call toward the same. At midday, Mercury is aflame during a conjunction with the Sun in Aries. This occurs as Mercury moves away from and the Sun moves toward 12 Aries: A flock of white geese flies overhead across clear skies. A soul as yet socially immature and unadjusted; not come down to full and steady concrete expression. Self-discovery. With Mercury retrograde, not much may be said outwardly but internally there is much to think about. There could be some clarifying personal realizations here or just a point in the day to stop and consider various things about ourselves. As the conjuncti...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of February 5 to February 11, 2018

Monday, February 5, 2018 This morning we wake up just in time for a sweet trine from our Libra Moon to her ruler, Venus in Aquarius at 10:33 AM. This is very settled, airy and amicable. However, don't veer toward over-accommodation of the “other” as the Moon in Libra stands off with Uranus in Aries at 1:46 PM which could prompt us to blow some of the nicey nice apart. What that opposition calls us to do is...and has been calling us to do every time the Moon has passed by from Libra...balance out the dynamics between self and other. Particularly anything within the concept of “other” or “relating” that may prevent us from being authentic or that may sink us too deeply into the expectation of “other.” So, even though the Moon is accommodating and Venus wants everyone to get along, don't say “yes” unless you really mean it or you are going to be brewing resentment in your chest later. Following the Moon's opposition with Uranus, she is Void until entering the sign of Scorpio a...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of December 10 to 15, 2017

Sunday, December 10, 2017 It's a busy day out there for the planets, folks. It began stirring yesterday as Mercury waxed strongly into his second trine with Uranus as Venus waxed in square to Neptune. These both perfect early this morning. Mercury to Uranus blossomed at 4:29 AM EST shortly following our perfection of the Last Quarter Moon. Venus in square to Neptune perfected at 8:48 AM. Mercury will go on to square Chiron in our afternoon just as the Mercury ruled Moon in Virgo finds him by square. This lights up a mutable t-square between Mercury Rx, Chiron and the Moon that may draw up some painful memories of the past, exacerbate illnesses or just leave us feeling a bit hollow today. Poinsettia symbolism Mercury to Uranus likely gave inspiration or a brief feeling of clarity. But, Venus to Neptune fogged the glass up again. Then, this mutable t-square with the Moon in hypercritical Virgo could, in fact, have us aiming the critical edge of the knife toward ourselves. Which, my ...
