New Moon in Taurus: Wake up! A new day dawns!

Image
The Astrology With this particular chart, set for Washington, DC, we see that Mercury is prevalent as that is the ruler of the ascendant. However. I find Mercury quite relevant across the board at this lunation. Because we find Venus, the ruler of this New Moon, in the sign of Mercury. Over and above the fact that Mars and Uranus are square here each getting ready to change signs, they are relevant in different aspects than just the obvious, as well. Uranus is perceived as being the higher octave of Mercury. Representative of the “higher mind;” expert-level wisdom, an ability to perceive and analyze facts on a more complex level even than Mercury himself. While being no less a trickster...just way better at it, actually. Uranus is getting ready to move into Taurus right after this Moon. Shifting his lessons and themes out from under the rulership of Mars and surrendering it to Venus. Mercury has just retraced steps through the sign of Aries, moved forward following that review of info...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of April 30 to May 6, 2018

Overview I told you last week was gonna be big. It did turn out that way with some of that saga set to continue. However, don't expect this week to be as action or as pressure filled. I, for one, am grateful for that. Many are in need of simply recovering from the ramping up and subsequent release of last weeks energy and happenings. This week? Much more subtle...which in my opinion is a good thing. What we are moving into at the end of this week is a sextile between our Sun in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces (5/6). Plus, Mercury will square off with Pluto. In the beginning of the week, Venus in Gemini creates a Yod by way of a sextile to our North Node in Leo as both form an inconjunct to Saturn. This puts Saturn Rx at the Apex of that Yod which flickers between the evening of 5/1 to the evening of 5/2. Like last weeks' Mercury/NN trine, this is a very subtle movement. What it allows us to do is decide what it is we want in our future. The Full Moon lit up a brief Yod with her s...

Full Moon in Scorpio 2018: The Beast

Image
We are not even fully “into” this Full Moon yet. Mars does not officially meet Pluto until the 26 th But, the happenings in the World are already illustrating what this is about. The Beast. The one we project onto the face of the other. The one that resides within our own selves that we deny. The insidious kind of temptation that comes with extraordinary hunger and..lust. From the recent Huddle House shooting to the rented truck incident in Toronto and million other little relevant stories in between. It is scary. We can never consider these acts as “normal” everyday occurrences. Cannot allow ourselves to become accepting of that. Because, it is frankly NOT acceptable regardless of how routine they seem to be in our world at this time. I don't know what the answers are to the problems around the globe. In that flux there is only one little bitty thing that I have truly have any control over. Myself. I suggest you direct your attention to the same. The Full Moon occurs across the ...

Morning Star: Astrology for the Weekend of July 29 to July 30, 2017

Saturday, July 29, 2017 Pranks meant to stir fear and phobia. Insidious Clowns. That is what we were dealing with in the US the last time Jupiter in Libra was in square to Pluto. There were other headlines that did correlate. But, this one was easy to remember. Now, the bolts on that square tighten, yet again. The next Jupiter/Pluto square perfects midweek. However, the headlines between this “war of the Gods” have already began trickling into our sphere. Threats from foreign enemies (which has been a thing, anyway), killer carnival rides, public tirades of profanity...all Jupiter/Pluto. These two are insidious bedfellows. With them, they squeeze the ugly out of the collective and put it on public display. Some inflated and meant to catalyze fear/phobia. Some, horrific tales in which a happy result was anticipated. Public threats and shaming. Self-righteous proclamations. It's all coming to the fore now and will continue to be at issue as this square waxes in. A prelude, also like...

Morning Star: Astrology for the Week of July 24 to July 28, 2017

Monday, July 24, 2017 This morning the Moon is still fresh and new in the sign of Leo. Her first aspect is in sextile to Jupiter in Libra at 7:00 AM. This is light and uplifting allowing us to potentially greet Monday with optimism. However, we also have two major personal planet transits today that bear importance. At 10:55 AM EDT, Venus perfects in opposition to Saturn. Then, at 12:33 PM, Mercury trines Uranus. Now, the actions of Mercury right now are particularly interesting. He is essentially the leader of the planetary pack right now. Between today and tomorrow he will jet across the Aug 31 ecliptic point, enter his retrograde shadow and exit Leo for Virgo (25 th 7:42 PM). There may be information that trickles in on a personal or global level that will relate to ecliptic themes. We may ALSO encounter the introduction of themes due to repeat themselves during Mercury's retrograde. My best guess is (especially since Mercury's retrograde includes a direct station ON the ec...
