Morning Star: Astrology for the week of April 30 to May 6, 2018

Overview I told you last week was gonna be big. It did turn out that way with some of that saga set to continue. However, don't expect this week to be as action or as pressure filled. I, for one, am grateful for that. Many are in need of simply recovering from the ramping up and subsequent release of last weeks energy and happenings. This week? Much more subtle...which in my opinion is a good thing. What we are moving into at the end of this week is a sextile between our Sun in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces (5/6). Plus, Mercury will square off with Pluto. In the beginning of the week, Venus in Gemini creates a Yod by way of a sextile to our North Node in Leo as both form an inconjunct to Saturn. This puts Saturn Rx at the Apex of that Yod which flickers between the evening of 5/1 to the evening of 5/2. Like last weeks' Mercury/NN trine, this is a very subtle movement. What it allows us to do is decide what it is we want in our future. The Full Moon lit up a brief Yod with her s...

Riddling the Beast: Full Moon in Scorpio Guide the Page of Swords

Image
The curious Page of Swords is our Guide at this Beastly Full Moon. Which I think is funny. Thinking of big intimidating beast being innocently riddled by the young Page. Because that is what the Page does and it brings forth nearly a humorous scene not unlike that which I used to watch via cartoons as a kid. At anyrate, the inquisitive and nearly infuriating (especially if your are trying to get something done) incessant riddling of “why” by this Page is exactly the suggested approach that we each take. Instead of physically responding to our impulses and instincts, the Universe seems to suggest that we riddle these things instead. Sussing out their root. Figuring out what kind of mentality may have birthed them. Why are we afraid? Why are we worried? Why are we jealous, resentful, angry...what's at the bottom of that. We need to know. This is something that no one can give you to answer to. It has to be an inside job in which you confront the issues this Moon illuminates on a per...

Full Moon in Scorpio 2018: The Beast

Image
We are not even fully “into” this Full Moon yet. Mars does not officially meet Pluto until the 26 th But, the happenings in the World are already illustrating what this is about. The Beast. The one we project onto the face of the other. The one that resides within our own selves that we deny. The insidious kind of temptation that comes with extraordinary hunger and..lust. From the recent Huddle House shooting to the rented truck incident in Toronto and million other little relevant stories in between. It is scary. We can never consider these acts as “normal” everyday occurrences. Cannot allow ourselves to become accepting of that. Because, it is frankly NOT acceptable regardless of how routine they seem to be in our world at this time. I don't know what the answers are to the problems around the globe. In that flux there is only one little bitty thing that I have truly have any control over. Myself. I suggest you direct your attention to the same. The Full Moon occurs across the ...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of April 23 to April 28, 2018

Overview When I first started looking at the Moon's for 2018, our Full Moon's in Scorpio (coming in this weekend) and Taurus (waaay into Scorpio season in the Fall), plus the New Moon in May really caught my eye. Reason being, the Full Moons each make a fixed cross with our nodal axis. The New Moon in Taurus in May ushers us straight into Uranus in Taurus as Mars moves from Capricorn to Aquarius (officially in his retrograde shadow). So, the two (Mars/Uranus) hang in square at 29 degrees of Cardinal and then both move to their new signs before the next morning. Both, in retrograde shadow. Those are some big movements. This is a big week. The energy really ramps up as Mars passes by Jupiter and Pluto. Plus, Mercury is quite relevant as he meets Saturn by square for the 3 rd time and trines the nodal axis for a third time. We will also have a sextile between Venus newly in Gemini and Chiron newly in Aries. As a time frame reference, Mercury's last two passes in square to S...

Morning Star: Daily Astrology for the Week of April 16 to April 22, 2018

Monday, April 16, 2018 Venus is a busy girl in the early part of our week. Fairly luscious that this occurs under a Venus ruled Moon in the same sign. This morning, the Moon entered Taurus at 4:52 AM. Her only major aspect within this day is a trine to Saturn at 8:39 PM. The day doesn't move quickly. It's more of a steady and purposeful plod. However, time may seem as if it slips by a little more swiftly as Mercury is now direct in the sign of Aries. Plus, there will likely be impatience to deal with as the Sun creeps into his conjunction with Uranus which perfects on Wednesday morning. We are spared much of the latter today, though. Venus waxes into a seductive opposition with Jupiter in Scorpio at 3:00 AM. In the morning, she is sunk deeply in a trine with Pluto as the Moon leaves a dreamy sextile with Neptune. This is greatly enchanting energy that comes to us overnight and sticks around way after the Sun rises tomorrow. There is yearning that comes with it which wells up fr...
