Morning Star: Astrology for the week of January 22 to January 28, 2018

Monday, January 22, 2018 The Moon entered Aries overnight pulling us from the watery ethereal world into the world of engagement and action. Her first aspect is a supportive sextile to the Sun in Aquarius just at daybreak on the East coast. Shortly after, however, the Moon meets with the dredge of a Saturn square. The Sun/Moon sextile helps us to get the ball rolling while the square with Saturn holds us to task and accountability. The latter of which is likely cumbersome but fleeting. As the day moves forward, the Moon flirts with Venus in Aquarius at midday leaving the rest of the day open for a perked up and pleasant evening. Tuesday, January 23, 2018 The Moon in Aries has a few confrontational aspects in the meat of this day. She begins with a square to Mercury in Capricorn at 10:30 am. This could be conflict between how we feel and what we think. Mercury in Capricorn is all business and will hold our active Aries Moon on point if not deliver a few words calling for maturity and g...

Morning Star: Astrology for January 17 to January 21, 2018

Wednesday, January 17, 2018 Early this morning, the Moon passed into Aquarius. She is still Saturn ruled by traditional theory. But, she is co-ruled by Uranus which brightens the affect a bit in comparison to Moon in Capricorn. On the downside, Aquarius can also be even colder than Capricorn. More detached. On the converse, the Moon is more inclined to themes of social justice, collaboration and amicability as well. It would serve us well to learn the higher function of Aquarius as the stellium in Capricorn begins to break up from here pulling each of these planets across our South Node. Then, of course, we will deal with the future Mars retrograde. The path of which will have Mars involved in eclipses, harsh squares with Uranus and test us on our ability to employ the more positive energies of Aquarius. Today can serve as an introduction to those lessons. First by way of the Moon. Then, by way of Venus as she enters the sign at 8:44 PM EST. Another hint toward this practicing this en...

New Moon in Capricorn 2018

Sabian Symbols: Sun and Moon at 27 Cap: Men climb a sacred peak; below the world—above, peace. Necessary linkage of above and below in the seeker's personal experience. Balanced dualism of subjective-objective life. In the “seeker's personal experience.” As above. So below. As within. So without. In your experience, do you believe that? I have found nothing to debunk it in mine. Life in some weird way sometimes seems to be like a series of energetic echoes. Just a dance of energies in constant flux at all times. Some energies we recognize as feeling good. Others as not so good. Of course, there is every variation in between. That is all dependent upon what makes up our perception. How we choose to perceive things. How our brains are trained or taught to interpret things. This, among other factors, shapes the lens of our own personal perspective. So, essentially whatever we are on the inside determines how we perceive the outside. As within. So without. Yet, do things on the ou...

Morning Star: Astrology for the week of January 8 to January 14, 2018

Monday, January 8, 2018 Not everyone is going to enjoy this week. I, however, am looking really forward to it. You see, I'm ready for a fresh start. I'm ready to scrape the barnacles off my back and move forward. I ready to ditch the albatrosses and move forward with a plan for myself that is self-supportive, empowering, full of new freedoms and opportunities. Are you? Because this is the week we make the final preparations for that long climb ahead. We finish taking out the trash in our lives and in relationships. Abusive and manipulative efforts fall flat and the perpetrators are exposed. So, you know, the one's that have been abusing and manipulating for their own personal gain or out of fear and limp willies are going to be the ones knocked off their game this week. But, those with integrity and a desire for a truly better world have power behind them to support them in their leadership efforts. At the end of it, we all end up with a clean slate whether that is what we ...
