Consciousness is like a river. William James was the first to coin the phrase calling it the “stream of consciousness” in 1890. According to psychology consciousness refers to our awareness of our own mental processes, such as our thoughts, feelings and sensations. It's likened to self-awareness and the ability to introspect, or look inward and examine these processes. I have heard this referred to in a collective sense in that the collective conscious is also like a river continually flowing by in the energetic sphere. Many, including myself, belief all have access to this river of collective information and are even able to capture a cup of wisdom from it from time to time and bring it back to share. The thing about that being research studies have shown that we only are able to experience one mental event at a time within the quickly moving mind stream. New Moon in Aquarius: The Season of Ice

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose. So says one of the better known Aquarian children, Janis Joplin. It's very true. The sign of Aquarius, itself, relates to the concept of freedom as well as that of independence. Yet at its highest expression is also concerned about these concepts within the collective as a society...as if it were a completely interconnected network which Aqua studies through the laboratory of life by experimenting, gathering data, analyzing the results under a constantly evolving hypothesis. Aquarius thinks a lot. They do love an intelligent conversation. But, of the Air signs, they are the least talkative. Don't let that quiet fool you, though. Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo I'm a little surprised that I don't feel this Lunar Eclipse has been over-hyped. Are we getting accustomed to this type of communication (that which is meant to catalyze a response) to the point is no longer effective? I wonder. You know? Catalyzing headlines (whether true or inflated) especially ones that promote a mindless adherence to “groupthink” have been quite successful as the South Node moved through Aquarius the last couple of years. Imagine that. Anyway. I wonder because I watch this stuff. I have noticed a fatigue within the populace in general in so far as being manipulated by a lot of hot air...coming from any direction. Many have narrowed their focus. For better or worse. Either upon information sources they deem trust worthy or with those that align with their own opinion/line of thinking...causing no cognitive dissonance. New Moon in Capricorn: Be the leader you need

Here we are. In a brand new year and at the genesis of eclipse season. I say that, because, even if you have felt the time shift a little upward in tempo, we still have not met with what I would consider “critical mass” just yet. Matter of fact..not even close, really. That feel of uptick in tempo will continue up until...and a little past...the Full Moon eclipse on 1/21-22.
